I found out last week that one of the photos I submitted to the Iowa State Fair won a prize ... $75 for second place in the adult color "people" category! The shot was of an interesting man I met in Soho the day before I left New York City three years ago. So far, it's the only "career" where I've actually earned money!

I saw that on display at the fair and admired it, but at first I didn't notice it was yours! This year, they made a magazine of all the winners. I bought it, and your photo is on page 11.
If any of your readers haven't been to the Iowa State Fair, they might not realize how stiff the competition is. This is SERIOUS, people. Way to go!
