Le Mars, Iowa. Who knew that such a small town 25 miles from Sioux City warranted a road trip? But with the title of the "Ice Cream Capital of the World," who could refuse such an adventure! The little museum (and I mean little!) offered a few exhibits related to the Wells' family ownership of Blue Bunny products, but the real prize was eating my REAL (No canned fruit here, folks.) Georgia-peach vanilla ice cream sundae courtesy of the "old-fashioned" ice cream parlor next door. Yummmm. The beautiful September Saturday also called for a quick trip down to the river and a stop at the new Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center and the Sergeant Floyd River Museum and Welcome Center. I am loving this rotation!
