The past few days have been consumed by writing papers and studying for finals - only one left in health economics! I look forward to resuming a 'normal' life after the holidays.
I spent an incredible day shadowing a medical director of a community health center in D.C. last week. Something that I am interested in in the future, it was insightful to attend administrative meetings and see what issues he faces, and I got to spend an afternoon in the clinic. I was happy to realize that I haven't forgotten everything from medical school!
I've had two great study breaks this past week - my dear friend Katie was in town from Iowa, and we met up in Adams Morgan, where she used to live. Check out our pizza slices! The best deal around here for just $4.50! As well tonight, my friend James and I checked out the holiday lights, decorations, and music at the Mormon Temple. They claimed over 450,000 lights, and I believe them!
Happy Holidays, everyone, and enjoy the New Year!
